My Computers 8 Website

Web Design

These are the folders I created to organize the work from each unit

In this unit I learned about files and folders and how to organize them. I also learned about neocities and a little of HTML, the coding language used to program websites.

Illustrator

This is my first time using Adobe Illustrator. Here I tried drawing suits of cards with different tools in Illustrator.

This is my first time tracing an image and recreating it with the curvature tool. Here I've drawn a mallard duck.

This is the 3 logos assignment, where I have to draw 3 logos of easy, medium, and hard difficulty. I've included the easy and hard logos, but ran out of time to finish the medium logo.

At the end of this unit I learned the basic tools of Adobe Illustrator, like the curvature and painbrush, and how to use them to trace and recreate images.

Photoshop

This is the collage assignment, where I split an image into 9 equal squares and made them look like a collage. Of the 2 images, one had to be a person, and one had to be a famous painting or building.

In this assignment I split the image of a person in half and turned one half into the words of a famous quote they said.

This is the kaleidoscope assignment, where I combined multiple of the same image and rotated it to create a kaleidoscope effect.

At the end of the photoshop unit I learned the basic tools of Adobe Photoshop, like crop and move. I also learned how to rotate images and discovered some effects, like adding a shadow, with my friends.

Coding

This is the first coding project, where I asked the user for inputs for a madlib and showed them the result at the end.

In this project I coded a math quiz. First it asks the user for what difficulty they want, then asks 10 addition questions to test them based on the selected difficulty.

This is the first use of turtle graphics in a coding project, where I wrote my name using the turtle.

In this project I drew 2 flags with turtle graphics, the Brazil flag and the Bulgaria flag. They were on the opposite ends of the scoring spectrum, respectively. This project challenged me more than the others because I've never tried to use turtle to draw such a detailed image.

Since I've used Python to code before, this unit didn't teach me many new things, but I think it was a good review for me. However, one thing I think it taught me was drawing more complicated images with turtle graphics, because all I've used it for before was games with basic shapes.

This is all the work I've completed in Computers 8, and I think I've learned many new things from this class
